N A R A Interventions

Following an assessment, your Occupational Therapist will explore strengths, interests, barriers to participation and the areas that are most important to you.

Based on the findings, recommendations and personalised goals will be developed with the child or young person, adult, family and other professionals involved.

Intervention may include:

- A short package of direct Occupational Therapy

- A few one-off sessions

- Ongoing therapy targeting different goals over time

- A personalised programme that can be implemented by families and schools with regular OT reviews.

Sometimes direct Occupational Therapy is not needed, or it may not be the right time.

In these circumstances, support may focus on coaching and educating parents, carers or other professionals to better understand the individual and confidently implement strategies within everyday life.
